2024 Recap: A Year of Physical & Digital Transformation:

Writer's picture: Charlene FadirepoCharlene Fadirepo

2024 taught me a powerful lesson about impact: sometimes the biggest transformations require both physical and digital movement. From relocating my family to Australia to publishing 'The Bitcoin Leap', this year proved that meaningful change happens when we're willing to cross borders - both geographic and technological.

Key moments that shaped 2024 for me were:

-Published The Bitcoin Leap, a pioneering book on Bitcoin's impact in Africa.

-Provided regulatory advisory services to a new global Bitcoin exchange client.

-Featured on BBCAfrica and BBCWorld to discuss The Bitcoin Leap.

-Presented at key global conferences, including the Oslo Freedom Forum, Cheatcode Conference in Sydney, Australia, and the Bitcoin Policy Summit in Washington, DC.

-Organized the second annual Satoshi Sister Circle brunch for women in Bitcoin in Nairobi, Kenya.

-Honored as the 2024 FinTech Person of the Year at the Black Tech Achievement Awards.

-Recognized as a 2024 LinkedIn Top Voice in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

-Successfully relocated my family to Canberra, Australia.

-Achieved a personal milestone by losing 15 pounds.

To my incredible family who embraced our international move, the African Bitcoin community who trusted me with their stories, and everyone working to make Bitcoin financial inclusion a reality - thank you for making 2024 transformative.

Looking ahead: In 2025, I'm focused on supporting banking and Bitcoin clients with fractional regulatory, business strategy and communications advisory work, while expanding Bitcoin education across the United States and Africa. If you or your organization needs advisory support in these areas please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at https://lnkd.in/eZuHsMhd.
